The Great Outdoors is a family-run, private recreational function facility located on the northern end of Pleasant Pond, directly adjacent to restaurants, golfing, and a country club. The 60-acre facility includes a lodge with a full-service kitchen, an inviting fieldstone fireplace and stage, with seating for up to 300 people, picnic areas with grills, sports areas- tennis, basketball, horseshoes, baseball, volleyball, large sandy beach and swimming area, and kayak and canoe rentals. Two, three and six, bedroom cottage rentals are available by the week, month or season from May through September.
New in 2012, off grid yurt and tent sites are now available.The Great Outdoors can accommodate groups of up to 2,000 people for a limitless array of events, including weddings and receptions, family and class reunions, staff parties, corporate retreats, dances, graduation gatherings, summer day camp/day care access, and fund-raisers.
