Event Description: The Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul will be hosting a summer concert series. Come and enjoy the many talented performers in this sacred space. Concerts are free and open to the public, Donations to restore the Casavant Organ are gratefully accepted. On September 7 we will be featuring Philip Brisson Organist & Director of Music with the Cathedreal of the Assumption in Louisville, Kentucky
Directions:
From Maine Turnpike (Southbound), Lewiston Exit 80: Take right off exit onto Alfred A. Plourde Parkway. Continue to first traffic light. Take a left onto Pleasant Street. Go straight 2.2 miles. Basilica is on left. (Note: Pleasant Street turns into Bartlett Street at East Avenue.) From Maine Turnpike (Northbound), Lewiston Exit 80: Take left off exit onto Alfred A. Plourde Parkway. Continue to first traffic light. Take a left onto Pleasant Street. Go straight 2.2 miles. Basilica is on left. (Note: Pleasant Street turns into Bartlett Street at East Avenue.) From Maine Turnpike, Auburn Exit 75: Take Rt. 4 North into Auburn. Turn right onto Rt. 202. Cross bridge into Lewiston. Go through 3 traffic lights after bridge and bear right onto Sabattus Street. Go one block and bear right onto Bartlett Street. Basilica is on next block on right. From Sabattus: Take Rt. 126 into Lewiston. Turn left onto Ash Street. Turn right onto Bartlett Street. Basilica is on left. From Augusta: Take Rt. 202 south into Lewiston. Turn left at light after Central Maine Medical Center onto Sabattus Street. Go one block and bear right onto Bartlett Street. Basilica is on next block on right. From Topsham: Take Rt. 196 into Lewiston. Turn right onto Pleasant Street. (Follow signs that lead toward Turnpike, I-95, but keep straight on Pleasant Street.) Go 2.5 miles. Basilica is on left. (Note: Pleasant Street turns into Bartlett Street at East Avenue.)
