An opening Ceremony with the National Guard 195th band and a 9:00 am Parade will start The Greene Village Day on Main Street USA Saturday September 8th. For the early birds there will be a pancake breakfast at the Greene Baptist Church sponsored by the Boy Scouts Troop #113.
A full day of enjoyment can be had at no cost, while an all-day $8 bracelet can be purchased to cover unlimited use of many activities. A family discount is offered this year of $8 for the first bracelet, $7 for the second bracelet and $5 each bracelet thereafter. Includes pony rides, climbing wall with a 16’ water slide, Pirate Theme Bounce House, mini golf, speed baseball, National Guard Video Game Truck and much more.
With much history in this little town The Greene Historical Society will share “Greene’s Pictures of the Past”.
Entertainment is not lost to this day, there will be a Kids Karaoke, a live DJ.
Volley ball and horseshoes set ups for random games and kid soccer games will provide sporting challenges.
For the competitive minded women’s skillet throwing, men’s nail driving, arm wrestling and amazing baby competitions will be offered.
CONTESTS SIGN UP: Contest sign-up sheets are available at the Greene Town Office.
There will be a Tractor and Wagon Rides to Toot N’ Chug Railroad Demonstration.
Other demonstrations will include Pelletier School of Karate, Andros. Canine Unit,
Wood Carver with a chainsaw, National Guard HUM-V and more.
This Greene Village Day has been designed to offer a full day of enjoyment, a wide variety of food, refreshments, challenges, and a small town approach to fun and socializing.
The event has been relocated on Main Street, Greene by popular demand.
