Minot, a small town rich in agricultural history, borders the City of Auburn and is close to the Oxford Hills region. In the early days, Minot had many mills, including grist, wool, bark, shake and shingle, and lumber mills. Today, Minot is a growing community. Town government consists of a 5-member Board of Selectmen and School Committee. The Minot Consolidated School includes K-8th grade. High school students attend Poland Regional and other surrounding high schools.
